The present owners of the prefix Street Boxers are Kai and Marion Søiland.

Kai had his first Boxer as a boy - a red bitch who is the main reason for a lifelong interest in the breed.   Tanja was born in Rakkestad in April 1974 and was out of the combination NUCH Haugtussas Veslefrikk X Janice of Beautypark.   Some of the main lines behind this combination consisted of Cherryburton and Boxella.   Tanja was 100% BOXER and a lovely dog who played an important role in the family life.

So we were never in doubt when we decided to get a dog - it just had to be a Boxer.   At the time we were not that interested in showing/breeding, even though Tanja entered a few shows in the seventies as a puppy and young dog - all this was soon going to change.

Street Boxer has been well known prefix in Norway since the mid-eighties, and was founded by Inger & Kjell Svensson from Nesodden just outside Oslo.   Through the years they imported five Boxers from England to Norway, three of these eventually became Champions: NUCH Tonantron Pandora, NUCH Kitwe Kestrel, Marbelton Delphinium, Marbelton Our Eli and NUCH Kitwe Samantha.  In addition they bred 6 litters containing several CC-winners and two homebred Champions - NUCH Street Boxers Dempsey Fighter and NSUCH Street Boxers Back to Kitwe.

This was the kennel from which we bought a lovely red bitch puppy (see Lizzies page).   As with so many enthusiasts we were hooked after a few good results - this has added a new dimension to the keeping of dogs, and to our family life in general.   Our friendship with Mrs Svensson was a decisive factor when we became more and more interested in breeding.   Her broad knowledge on the breed that she had acquired over the years, since the late sixties, she willingly shared with us.   When she was unable to continue her breeding programme due to her husbands passing, she offered us her prefix Street Boxer.   She now lives in Sweden.   We thank Mrs Inger Svensson for the trust and generosity she has always given us.

We wanted to have more Boxers and this time we decided to look outside Norway.   We were planning to import a bitch from England who could contribute to a solid foundation for our plans to breed our own lines in the future.

The world famous English Boxer kennel Winuwuk Boxers had all we could possibly wish for, and so our request was presented to the kennel's owners Ivor & Marion Ward Davies, Tim Hutchings and Julie Brown.   Soon after we received a positive response from England.   This Kennel's history has placed them among the leading breeders in Great Britain for the last 20 years or more, and they had one of their many highlights in the nineties with their wonderful bitch Ch. Roamaro Scotch Mist of Winuwuk.  In our opinion and many others, one of the absolute best bitches through all of the history of the breed.   Bred by Mandy Laidlaw at Roamaro Boxers and campaigned by Tim Hutchings of Winuwuk fame she still has the record as the all time most winning brindle Boxer in England.   This is quite an achievement, as all will appreciate who know just how competitive the Boxer rings of Great Britain really are.

We wished to be able to take part in the lines we admired so much, and who many dedicated Boxer-people and top breeders had participated in creating.   Winuwuk has in its history bred and exported many top Boxers to many different countries with considerable success.   We were able to import to Norway, a brindle/white bitch puppy, who at the time was just over 5 months of age. She was Winuwuk Kiss'n Make Up - out of some of the best bloodlines Great Britain has to offer (see Jennys page).

We next imported a brindle dog from Roamaro Kennels in England Roamaro Tailspin See Happy's page and we are very grateful to Mandy Laidlaw for allowing us to aquire such a well bred adddition to our breeding program.

Happy carries the bloodlines of some of the top winning dogs in the UK See Dogs of Note
